Fleece hats for winter

My kids have asked for some warm p for these colder days, with the nights drawing in closer and staying with us for longer.

Using the same principle as in the apple pin cushion, I have cut out 6 petals, but these are all the same height above the straight edge along the bottom.

And with slight difference in the curves for the front side panels, these pieces all fit together very easily, meeting in the middle at the top apex of the cut leaves.

I haven't lined these hats, the fleece is plenty warn and the hat, plenty tall to cover a good portion of the head. We don't want to overheat the children, particularly as we've plenty of time before the real cold weather hits us x

Sewing a cap visor for the front, I have actually cut 2 pieces of this and stuffed it with a teeny bit of fluff to give this area stability and rigidity.

Great! Really quick and easy to do x
