Prym L❤️ve ... Owl Bag

My cushion turned bag :-)

Soft Toy kit from Prym.

I decided to give my owl a suit to wear.

I've marked out a straight line in the centre and positioned the bow tie and buttons

Carefully, cut out the owl

Add fray check to the edges before appliqué to a backing

I've decided to make a cushion rather than a soft toy at this point, so I am adding a concealed zip to my fabric

Zip added and owl is appliquéd onto the backing fabric.  Now, my daughter suggests this will make a great shopping bag

so I've added lining

and a useful inner welt pocket

I've set a position where I want the handles

The handles are sewn using a matching, strong thread.
